Bjerregaard leads Portugal Masters

VILAMOURA, Portugal (AP) Lucas Bjerregaard of Denmark led the Portugal Masters by one shot after carding a 3-under-par 68 in the third round on Saturday.

Lindheim ties Atkins for DAP lead

BEACHWOOD, Ohio (AP) Nicholas Lindheim shot a 2-under 68 on Saturday to move into a tie for the lead after the third round of the DAP Championship with Matt Atkins, who faltered with a double bogey on the 16th hole at the Tour Finals event.

Lindheim, who's trying to regain his PGA Tour card after a disappointing rookie year, spent most of the day chasing Atkins at Canterbury Golf Club before birdies at 15 and 16. McCarron cards 63, up 1 at Pebble Beach

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) Scott McCarron shot an 8-under 63 to take a one-stroke lead Friday after the first round of the PGA Tour Champions' Pure Insurance Championship.

McCarron had seven birdies and an eagle to go along with a bogey to set a new record on the par-71 Poppy Hills course. He broke the previous mark set by Jonathan De Los Reyes in 2015 and matched later that year by Olin Browne at this event. Read More...

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) Former world No. 1 Lydia Ko says her confidence is rising as she prepares to play in the New Zealand Open next week in front of her home gallery, near the end of a lackluster year.
